MEP slams Galway “Citizens Dialogue” meeting – Harkin

An EU meeting to be held in Galway tomorrow (Thursday) has been slammed by the Independent MEP Marian Harkin. The “Citizen’s Dialogue on the future of Europe” will take place at NUIG tomorrow evening. It’s been organised by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the European Movement Ireland. It’s supposed to give people the chance to discuss the future direction of Europe and the challenges it faces. However, Marian Harkin says the meeting has been organised without MEP involvement as they will be in Strasbourg voting in the European Parliament.
