Kimberly Garriott, Principal Consultant, Healthcare Strategies

As Principal Consultant for Logicalis Healthcare Solutions, Kim Garriott works with the Logicalis US healthcare sales team counseling clients on healthcare IT strategies and discussing the business value for potential healthcare IT projects as well as providing post-sale consulting to ensure the expected business value is achieved.  Whether talking with a health system’s CIO, CEO or medical staff, Kim understands the unique challenges they’re facing and excels in helping healthcare organizations create and execute a tactical plan that will meet their business objectives.

With a strong background in clinical imaging and workflow process improvement, Kim has more than two decades of business and IT leadership experience helping healthcare organizations streamline their workflow and project management processes.  Before joining Logicalis, Kim assisted with the design and implementation of the Cleveland Clinic’s enterprise imaging strategy.  Kim also served as CIO for the Pittsburgh-based Foundation Radiology Group, a multi-state radiology practice, and worked in a variety of director-level radiology informatics, process improvement and IT positions with Indiana University Health, an integrated healthcare provider.
Notably, Kim helped to create the HIMSS-SIIM Joint Enterprise Imaging Workgroup and continues to serve in a leadership capacity there, has been published in The Journal of the American College of Radiology as co-author of “Planning for PACS – A Comprehensive Guide to Non-Technical Considerations,” and is a regular speaker at national healthcare events.
Jef Williams, COO of Ascendian Healthcare Consulting
Being the COO for a major healthcare consulting firm requires someone who can meld management priorities, budget constraints and creativity, and that’s exactly what Jef Williams brings to Ascendian Healthcare Consulting. Wirth more than 20 years of project leadership experience working with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, Jef is both an extraordinary problem solver and is innovative in his decision making. His unique skills are a direct result of the wide array of experiences Jef has had throughout his career which include international relief efforts, business development, and complex information systems implementations.

Before joining Ascendian, Jef worked with some of the largest healthcare organizations in the United States, including GE Healthcare, where he received awards for his leadership and IT implementation achievements. Jef has also led project implementations and management teams at Sentara Healthcare, Sutter Health, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) and Intermountain Healthcare, all of which contributed to his now extensive expertise in healthcare policy, administration, workflow, technology and infrastructure initiatives.
Jef earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Masters College and his Master of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. Today, he is both a PMI-certified Project Manager (PMP) and a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP).
