Refugee crisis shouldn’t be a ‘numbers’ game – McGuinness

The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness is warning that the escalating refugee and migrant crisis shouldn’t become an issue of numbers. Ms McGuinness was speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg following the Tanaiste Joan Burton’s proposal for Ireland to take in 5000 [five thousand] refugees. Tomorrow the President of the EU Commission Jean-Claude Juncker will outline the EU’s proposal to relocate additional refugees across EU countries. Here’s Mairead McGuiness.
