It is said: “For man, mind is the cause of bondage and mind is the cause of liberation

Mind absorbed in sense objects is the cause of bondage, and mind detached from sense objects is the cause of liberation. Therefore the mind which is always engaged in Krishna consciousness is the cause of supreme liberation. The mind becomes sinful because we are always engaged in sinful activities. To understand the Lord and His activities, one must free his mind from all contamination of the material world. If one's mind is always absorbed in the thought of Krishna, that very qualification will purify one and keep one purified always.
