MESSAGE SUMMARY: God is interested in your heart; He wants you to have a righteous heart. God makes you a new creation through your new heart created by an indwelling of the Holy Spirit in your life – God changes your thinking and your attitude. In Romans 8:26-27, Paul describes the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in followers of Jesus resulting in a new person, with a new heart, in Jesus: “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.". The salt and light of a Christian comes from their righteousness – not just in deed and appearance but, also, in your inner person -- your heart.
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will trust in the Lord with all my heart. I will trust in the Lord with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I will seek to know Him, and He will make my pathways straight. (From Proverbs 3:5f).
