Kelly Accetta grew up in a single parent home on the west coast as a "latch key kid".  Now she's an internationally recognized author, motivational speaker and TRUTH coach.  Throughout her career she has helped individuals across six continents. In this episode we dig into her experience at home and at work. 

She shares about her book and landmines like gossip, putting ourselves down, and being over-emotional.  Landmines are behaviors and beliefs that are destructive to our happiness and relationships. Wallowing in an endless cycle of mommy guilt, doubt, and insecurity— sound familiar? These actions are like deadly landmines, ready to go off at any time. Boom! The explosions block us from reaching the lives we want for ourselves and our families.

Over 1 in 4 children in America today reside in a single parent household. That accounts for a large population of single parents that are working hard to navigate the journey of parenting alone. Single Parent families are all very different, and most of these parents face internal and external forces that cause them to struggle as they raise their children alone. Being a parent is often hard and being a single parent can be even harder without support. Single Parent Advocate wants to help empower and partner with single parents on their parenting journey.
