In Box-13, Dan Holiday receives a children's copy book with the name "Marina Leighton" written on the outside. The next day, a letter appears in Box 13, providing an address and requesting the return of the book. Dan drives to the Leighton's house, with full intentions of returning the book back to the parents of the little girl. However, the mother's story about Marina and the father's story about her do not coincide. Marina's father offers five hundred dollars for the return of the book. Dan becomes curious as to why it is so valuable and decides to keep it until he can determine the reason.
