C.S. Lewis writes: "I didn't go to religion to make me happy. I always knew a bottle of Port would do that. If you want a religion to make you feel really comfortable, I certainly do not recommend Christianity."

 

Christianity has never been about being a toothless religion, nor does the bible speaks about living a comfortable life. There is a cost to being a disciple. What did Jesus mean when he said he came to bring fire to the earth? What is demanded of us this night? Can the fire of Pentecost stir up our faith and conviction to do God's work in Christ's name for the sake of the world?
