Phil Kniss: Hurry up and wait

Pastor Phil encourages us to adopt a different posture, in relation to the world and all that is going on in it. He saw Jesus’ instructions to his disciples in Luke 10:1-11 to also be instructive for us, as we learn how to live in our broken world. Jesus sent out 70 of his disciples in pairs, with urgency, and encouraged them to get to the places where they were being sent, but once there, to slow down, build relationships of trust, receive the gifts of hospitality offered, and pronounce peace and the nearness of God's kingdom.
