The European Parliament’s official position on the Brexit negotiations has been endorsed by the majority of MEPs in a vote today. This morning they held a lively debate before they voted on the Brexit resolution. During the debate the former leader of the UK Independence Party Nigel Farage accused the EU of behaving like the mafia. He told MEPs the British don’t have to buy German motor cars or drink French wine. The Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes says the British will not be able to pick and choose what they want during the Brexit negotiations.
