Out of the box thinking required to fund farmers - McGuinness

The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness is urging banks to show more sensitivity to farmers when it comes to repaying their loans. Her comments follow the recent decision by Glanbia to establish the MilkFlex fund to help dairy farmers cope with price volatility by providing them with flexible loan arrangements. Ms McGuinness says new methods are needed to provide funding for farmers.
