Coach Hebert is in his first season as Vinton High School's head football coach, but he has been involved with the game of football for over 40 years. As a player for McNeese State, Coach Hebert was a three year starter on both sides of the football from 1983-1985 playing linebacker while also blocking for McNeese State Hall of Fame running back Buford Jordan. As a coach, Hebert has been head coach throughout the Southwest Louisiana high school ranks at Sulphur High School, Beau Chene High School. and Elton High School while also being a longtime assistant coach for his college alma mater under the likes of Tommy Tate, Matt Viator, and Lance Guidry coaching linebackers, defensive line, and also being the defensive coordinator.
