There is the founder part of a journey, which is the ability to overcome inertia with a group of people who have the oomph behind them to stick it out and just get it done by any means necessary. Then you have the growth phase where once you've proved that you've got a thing that works, you need to scale it. A totally different set of skills around identifying, optimizing and managing things as they grow. And then once you're big, you just want someone who's a safe pair of hands to run that. And so you have to identify where you fit in the lifecycle of companies as well, with your temperament and with your skill set."

"Understanding Health Tech Failure: The reason why a lot of health tech fails is they completely fail to understand that. If you're talking about a narrative of keeping people well for another ten years and preventing long term disease, the challenge with that is if I'm an investor in that as a health system, then I'm not going to see my money back for ten years. But if I can help you now identify people who are continuously coming back to hospital and stop those people coming back, then that's in year savings."
