COVID-19: Shifting From Patient Specific Sterile Compounding to Batching as a Strategy to Build Resilience

From the 2020 Midyear Clinical Meeting, this podcast features how the University of Maryland Medical Center established dynamic inventory assessment was utilized to monitor usage demands of the compounded items. Due to the shift from patient specific compounding to batching due to meet COVID-19 demands in staffing, they effectively managed inventory in parallel with in-time utilization as well as respond to operational needs.
