US Close 8 Mar 17: US lower - declines amongst pharmaceutical and bank stocks. President Trump also said he was working on a plan to increase competition in the drug industry and reduce prices. At the close of trade, the Dow Jones index was lower by almost 30 points or 0.1%. The S&P 500 index was down by 0.3% while the Nasdaq was lower by 15 points or 0.3%.
