9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary. This is a very important promise in that all Christians should not place Purgatory as their first hope of Salvation. Granted, most saved persons will probably have a stay in Purgatory for some time because few of us die in a state of perfection who thankfully are not damned. All in Purgatory will have eternity in Heaven. That should be the ultimate goal of the believer, to Trust in Jesus and His Glorious Word. St Paul expressed a prayer of petition for a co-worker of his who had previously died, 2 Timothy 1:16-18 states, "May the Lord grant mercy to the family of Onesiphorus because he often gave me new heart and was not ashamed of my chains. But when he came to Rome, he promptly searched for me and found me. May the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that day. And you know very well the services he rendered in Ephesus." That reference "the Lord on that day" is speaking to the Parousia when Jesus returns at the Second Coming at the end of the age.
