S&P Futures are displaying a strong move to the downside this morning with the focus on employment data and trade policy. Employment data trends have been weakening and todays Jobless claims report will be a key data point ahead of tomorrow's Non-Farms Payrolls report. Tariff news continues to move markets. President Trump's decision for a one-month reprieve on auto tariffs is a minor move considering that his administration has tariff action plans on every trading partner / product category which are expected to be announced over the coming months. Markets react negatively to policy uncertainty and nervousness is clearly evident in the recent economic reports. On the earning front, JD M, and ZS are higher after their releases. After the bell today results are due out from AVGO, COST, GAP & HPE.
