Woolworths’ Full Year Result 26 Aug 21: Woolworths’ earnings led higher by Australian Food business

Woolworths’ (WOW) improved revenue and profit over the 12 months to 27 June 2021 were slightly ahead of the estimates of 11 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Group sales rose by 5.7%, while net profit rose by 22.9% to $1,972m. Its Australian supermarket chain was the major contributor and BIG W the biggest improver.
