Mid-Session 22 Sep 2021: ASX rises as Evergrande agrees to repay bondholders

The Aussie market has enjoyed a slight resurgence approaching lunch on news that Chinese property group Evergrande has negotiated a plan to repay bondholders. This has helped push commodity stocks higher with major mining and oil & gas providers among the most improved names so far today.
