(Dis)Enchanted (Fairytale or Fairy Fail?)

How can a sequel so fundamentally misunderstand the intent of its predecessor? While Enchanted (2007) has solidified its place as a timeless classic, Disenchanted (2022) not only shows up uninvited more than a decade later, but also forgets to bring an ounce of the skill, charm, and wit that the original movie showed.
