Morning Report 21 Sep 22: US stocks slump ahead of jumbo-sized rate hike

The US sharemarket fell by ~1% overnight, wiping out the prior day’s gains ahead of a highly anticipated supersized rate hike by the Federal Reserve. The market is expecting the US central bank to raise rates by 75 basis points (0.75%) for the third straight meeting.
