Lana Rose Nelson grew up competing in sports. At 18, she started choosing substances over sports. Her recreational use turned into a full-blown addiction. She moved multiple times to “outrun herself”. Lana experienced trauma throughout that time that perpetuated her addiction.
Her family convinced her to be on a documentary which ended up being the TV show, Intervention on A&E. When she went to the treatment she didn’t speak for the first two months.
After hitting her rock bottom, Lana had a spiritual experience that changed her life. Lana checked herself into Steps Recovery Center where she surrendered and put her faith in God. Lana attended a fellowship and shared that doing step work is what helped her achieve a life in long-term recovery.
