EU tax plans will have negative consequences for Ireland - Harkin

EU proposals to introduce a common consolidated corporate tax base will negatively impact on Ireland. So says the Independent MEP Marian Harkin. Last night the EU’s Economics Commissioner Pierre Moscovici outlined new proposals for a Europe-wide corporate tax base. The EU Commission wants to introduce a common corporate tax base to begin with. And then, at a later stage, it wants to bring in the consolidation element. And, according to Marian Harkin  it’s that consolidation part that is of concern.
