Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.
Have you ever heard it said that evangelism is better “caught than taught”? Well, it’s true! So when it comes to equipping Christian teenagers, we must actually do what we say we believe. If we’re not living lives marked by bold, loving Gospel conversations, why would they? Discipling teens to share their faith begins with showing them how it’s done and walking with them as they try it for themselves. And that’s why we at EE are so passionate about On-The-Job training, where a trainer shows what having a Gospel conversation is like. And training a teenager to share their faith is about helping them see people the way Jesus does, giving them courage to share the Gospel, and reminding them that the Holy Spirit does the real work. And when teens are discipled, they grow deeper roots and broader reach. They become influencers for Christ in their classrooms, on their sports teams, and communities.
