Mid-Session 31 May 2021: ASX 200 hits new record high

The Aussie market briefly topped 7,200pts for the first time this morning, eclipsing its previous record last Feb. But the index hasn’t managed to stay there and is now back in negative territory for the session so far. Despite today’s moves, it is still looking at an 8th consecutive monthly gain.
