It’s critical that a trade deal between Britain and the EU does not take years to conclude. That’s the warning from the Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes. Mr Hayes, who was speaking in the European Parliament, referred to the current trade deal that’s being brokered between Canada and the EU. He said the CETA (Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement) deal has taken 8 (eight) years to conclude. And the Dublin MEP warns, the Canada deal would pale in significance to a future EU-UK deal.
