Episode 89: Chris Sia (Split Image), Joey Marsh (Psycho Mantis), and Dylan Baumgartner (Reelverse Productions, Slingshot)

On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Chris Sia, Joey Marsh, and Dylan Baumgartner!

Chris plays drums in the California-based crossover hardcore band Split Image, while Joey plays guitar in the California-based metal band Psycho Mantis. Dylan is the creative force behind Reelverse Productions, and also does guitar and vocals in the California-based indie band Slingshot.

In August 2022, Split Image and Psycho Mantis released a split EP entitled Psycho Image Split to promote their "Psycho Image Tour 2022." The tour with Split Image and Psycho Mantis went from late August 2022 through early September 2022, beginning in California and ending in Arizona. Dylan rode with the bands on the tour to put together a documentary about independent artists on the road, shooting everything from live footage, to interviews, to footage from the places they visited. The result was Psycho Image: 2022 Tour Documentary, which fans can watch for free on YouTube.

On this addition of the podcast, Chris, Joey, and Dylan speak with Mike about how they all know each other, how they got into heavy music, how the "Psycho Image Tour 2022" came to fruition, stories from the tour, Dylan's process for filming and editing the tour documentary, and more.
