Food security “a big worry” – Kelly

The EU’s foreign policy chief this morning warned the EU and its citizens must make a collective effort to reduce their energy dependence on Russia. 

Josep Borrell was speaking in the European Parliament during a debate on Europe’s security following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He told MEPs, Europe will have to be ready to pay the price in order to respond to Russia. 

Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly says rising costs and limited supplies of essential goods such as fuel and fertiliser will impact our food supply.
