Building a Relationship with Your Inner Child

No matter how old we are, we carry our inner child ‘Selves’ with us through each day. Learning how to create a safe and supportive container for our ‘inner child relationship’ can enhance and enrich all of our connections with people we care about, in the here and now.

So much of who we become begins with a child’s innocent, open-hearted and receptive nature. If we are to evolve, transform and heal, then it’s important to understand how to make contact with the inner child who lives inside all of us.

Sam will explore the extraordinary value of building a solid and trusting relationship with the many ‘ages’ that have lived through your everyday moments since birth. Inner Child work finds its origin in the recognition, that all our needs weren’t met by the adults who parented us, by trauma left unprocessed, and because of the closed emotional nature of many family cultures. As an adult, you can now discover how to fill that role of being nurturing, accepting, and understanding for yourself.

By creating a space where we allow the subconscious to take the lead and invite the ‘child self’ into conversation, we’re able to access a level of understanding not otherwise possible. Sam will help you ponder the inner layers you’ve erected to manage the ‘growing up process’ as well as, more fully appreciate the way you’ve built-up coping strategies around feelings, vulnerability and needs impact our adult ways of relating.
