US Close 17 Mar 17: US mixed as Trump budget adds to concerns.

US sharemarkets ended mixed on Thursday with gains in banks and some technology stocks offsetting weakness in the healthcare sector. Traders focussed on new budget proposals from President Trump that may mean higher costs for the healthcare sector and lower federal funding for medical research. The Dow Jones index fell by 16 points or 0.1% after trading in a 107 point range. The S&P 500 index fell by 0.2% while the Nasdaq rose by 1 point or less than 0.1%.
