September TikTok Songs and Trends, NYFW, Met Gala, Nicki Minaj

Dena and Melissa start the show talking about the latest pop culture news with New York Fashion Week, the Met Gala, and Nicki Minaj. We loved seeing one of our favorite TikTok stars Davis Burleson (guest on episode 27!) at all the NYFW events. 

7:40 - TikTok Trends

The first TikTok trend this week is making fun of Straight TikTokers pretending to get arrested, but in a thirst-trappy way. We feature videos from @brodywellmaker and @christianmhull. Next, all sides of TikTok came together to roast this guy giving advice to help women get men. Our favorite response comes from @yeahitsak talking about his “monster truck.” 

13:40 - Song Trends

This week’s song trends include an audio snippet called “Boo Zoos Waffle Fries.” It says, “What are you doing in my house? I want waffle fries.” The original audio is from @itsamewario48, he voices Boozoo from The Walten Files on Youtube. “Mama Said” by Lukas Graham is also trending, we feature TikToks from @savedbythedels and @mackedy (shoutout to Mrs. Space Cadet, guest on episode 19!), and highlight creators praising Remi Bader. Know Your Meme (@knowyourmeme) explains the “Good soup” trend from Adam Driver on Girls. 

22:30 - Cleaning TikTok

We love a video where @jessiesayhey uses ketchup to clean a pot. We also talk about cleaning rugs and smoke-ridden walls. 

25:30 - Conan TikTok

Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco (@teamcoco) is on TikTok, whether or not he knows it. His assistant beautifully explains all the great things on TikTok, it’s not just for dancing teenagers. We agree!
