Market Close 8 July 19: Shares fall over 1% to snap five days of gains

It hasn’t been a great start for the local sharemarket, snapping a five session winning streak on Monday. The ASX 200 ended the day 79 points or 1.17% lower to 6672.2. Every sector ended the day in the red but banks and miners weighed on the broader market most.
