Everyone who exists is a fruit of God’s love and is God’s gift to the world. We are called to live a life of love, which is why the human heart aches love. We have been created for authentic love, which is self-sacrificial.
We have also been created for labour. As St. Paul says, if one does not work, one does not eat. Just because we have been created by God for love, that does not mean that we do not work. We must do our best to build a better world. By doing this, it becomes an act of love as we are putting the needs of others ahead of our own. If everyone does their work well, it builds a better society. Love and labour are intertwined.
God has also created us for leisure. It is part of the beauty of our lives, to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. However, it is all about having the right balance between love, labour and leisure.
