On June 4th, 1994, the Beastie Boys played at the San Diego Sports Arena during their Ill Communication Tour. Me and a couple buddies got floor tickets to that show. The opening band? Bad Brains. It was a show I'll never forget - even though I don't remember most of it. While the Beasties were performing, the crowd was pushing so hard towards the stage, once I put my arms up, it was difficult to bring them back down. There were times I couldn't breathe and thought I would get squeezed to death. I couldn't handle it any longer, so I somehow managed to make my way back to where there was more space. Back where the mosh pits were. At one point, some chick was trying to push me into said mosh pit. Anyway, June 4th will always be a day in my history that I dedicate to one of my all time favorite bands: The Beastie Boys.
