A senior MEP has been ousted from her position of European Parliament Vice-President by the vast majority of MEPs in a vote today in Strasbourg. Greek MEP Eva Kaili is embroiled in a spiralling corruption scandal that’s rocking the Parliament.
Ms Kaili is one of several people arrested for allegedly accepting bribes from World cup hosts Qatar who wanted to win influence in Europe. Belgian investigators continued searching offices in the European Parliament in Brussels yesterday as the probe into the alleged brides continued.
Fianna Fail MEP Billy Kelleher explains more about the allegations being made against Ms Kaili.
