BC Hockey Female Lead Skills Instructor
Whitney is excited to be a part of the coaching staff for Team BC as they prepare for the Canada Winter Games to be held in Prince Edwards Island this February, 2023. Currently she works as the BC Hockey Female Coach Mentor. Developing the female game from player and coach mentoring she work with communities all over BC to help grow the female game. She is the Lead Skills Instructor for BC Hockey and former Coordinator for BC Hockey's Female Program of Excellence. She was part of Team BC which won Bronze at the 2017 National Women's U18 Championship & Canada Winter Games Bronze Medal Champions in 2019. Whitney also works as the POE skills instructor for U12/U14 Regional Development camps and U16/U18 Regional Identification camps across the Province.
BC Hockey’s Female Program of Excellence identifies and trains athletes to compete at a Provincial, National and International level.
Awards & Accomplishments
In 2022 Whitney was recognized by BC Hockey with the NCCP award for development in coaching. Whitney was formerly the Hockey Operations Coordinator with North Vancouver Minor Hockey Association and coached with them for 9 years. In 2021 Whitney was the Executive Director for Langley Minor Hockey Association. Whitney won the BFL 2021 Female Coach of the year for the province of British Columbia. She brings her expertise on how to develop programs to support the growth of all the players and coaches in the MHA. Whitney leads with over 10 years experience coaching and coordinating male and female athlete programs from all over the province. Whitney helps bring culture and passion to all those she works with. She is excited for the opportunities this 2023/24 season will bring.
