The CommSec Market Update 16 Feb 23: US shares mixed after retail sales data prints stronger than expected

With 45 minutes to go to end of US trade the Dow Jones was down 50 points or 0.1%. The S&P 500 was flat and the Nasdaq was higher by around 70 points or 0.6%. The Aussie dollar is US69 cents. The Australian sharemarket is expected to lift 28 points or 0.4% at the start of trade.
