The Mossman Bowls Club was the venue for the Douglas Shire Ratepayers Association's public forum featuring candidates for this months Local Government Elections on March 28th. A big crowd turned up to listen to the hopefuls, but two sitting Councillors gave the event a miss. One new candidate couldn't make it on doctors orders but will be back on the hustings soon, however Peter McKeown, Terry Melchert, Kym Rowley, Natalie Johnson, Steve Cruikshank, Lisa Scomazzon, Mayoral candidates Michael Kerr and the incumbent Julia Leu came along to reveal their vision for the Shire going forward.
