Perceptions of Leadership & Poetry with Lindani Njie

Poetic Resurrection is honored to have leadership advocate and poet Lindani Njie. We had a great conversation about leadership and how with poetry life can be empowering.  Lindani reads his powerful poem The Shadow Leads -is an attempt to expand on leadership outsides the narrow definitions that exclude women. He wanted to touch on transformational leadership, inclusive leadership, leadership as a software, and the leadership that matters. This creative piece is intended to recognize the role women play in society and recognize them as leaders, change-makers, and innovators.

Lindani Njie is a youth and leadership advocate, writer, speaker, and creative. At the core of his work, he highlights
the importance of leadership and purpose in life. He is a firm believer in using his voice and abilities as a catalyst that
ignites action in others. Being a part of the UK’s Police Now organization allows him to play an influential role in the
development of police officers and their purpose in various regions of the UK.

Lindani uses his voice, ability, and creative eye to uplift and bring awareness to issues affecting his culture and the
African continent.
