The Stories That Brought You Here
Society & Culture
While living in Ontario in his late-teens, Mike played guitar in a music duo. He and his musical partner were successful enough to both earn a living from it for six years. In his twenties, he shifted gears and opened a restaurant with his wife, Kelly. After a number of years, they sought change and in the late nineties, moved to the West Coast. Circumstances and chance would lead Mike to his next career, that of a wine barrel salesman. The job required him to be away for extended periods of time, but also allowed him to pursue his new passion, being a volunteer for the Pender Island Fire Department.
Mike will speak in depth about these experiences, the passion he has for serving our community, his thoughts on leadership and so much more. Please enjoy this episode with our local Fire Chief, the wonderful, Mike Dine.
