Episode # 868 - Monday News

Back to work everyone on this Monday, and something happened to Father Anthony that hasn't happened in a long time, that is he got a good night's sleep last night and feeling very rested and good.  On the other hand, he was running late for mass this morning missing his alarm, with everyone worried and hoping that he was ok and alright and he is/was.  Gerri is the same, waking up at 4 o'clock this morning to start the day as well, but despite it being a strange Monday, things are alright at the start of the show.  Producer Nick shares his weekend activities, such as celebrating his mom's birthday.  On a tragic note, the show discusses the mystery of flight, Malaysia Airlines 370 that disappeared March 8th and the latest news report talked about there were no survivors from that flight, with all of our prayers going out to the families of the victims of that terrible tragedy, while the answers to figuring out what happened to the plane.  With this tragedy in mind, Father Anthony relates to the evil that is around us and seems to have an upper hand on us, that we are bullied and bothered, but provides solutions to this, providing ways out of all this darkness and chaos.  In regards to this, everyone talks about the differences between the young and the old, in terms of family, dating, and other things.  After the first break, the discussion turns toward the Washington mud slide that occurred and the victims of that and the situation in Egypt as well and the many aborted babies in Great Britain talked about too, with our thoughts and prayers going out to those as well.  Father Anthony also mentions, recent Gospel reading as well and Pope Francis too.  With all this, Father Anthony discusses the "dark side" of Christianity with certain celebrities and things, with public acknowledgement of this.
