Listen as Marshall and Nick discuss real-life events as examples of code-switching they use frequently and how to apply it to your characters! This will make your characters feel more believable. Nick also does a fantastic (not really) reading from the Brandon Sanderson novel “Skyward” as an example of code-switching.
Topic of the Month: Dialogue
This Month’s Challenge: Take a scene from your current Work In Progress (WIP) and rewrite the scene with dialogue. When you rewrite this dialogue, do with it without dialogue tags. Look to make your characters distinguished from one another but there mannerisms and unique traits. Add dialogue tags later as necessary.
