The Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras addressed the European Parliament in Strasbourg this morning. During his address Mr Tsipras said that over the last five years Greece has been transformed into an austerity laboratory. And he said we have seen a skyrocketing of poverty. However, during the debate that followed his address, Mr Tsipras came in for strong criticism from leading MEPs. The leader of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats Guy Verhofstadt accused Mr Tsipras of not providing concrete reform proposals.
