US Close 20 Dec 18: Shares slump on Fed outlook

It was yet another challenging session for US markets following the Fed’s final meeting of 2018. The US central bank raised rates as expected although its outlook wasn’t as dovish as some market participants were expecting. The Dow fell by 1.5% (900 point range overnight) and sets up local stocks for some early weakness.
