Matthew 27:11-26 Jesus goes before Pilate In today’s lesson, we will see that although, Pilate knows that Jesus is innocent, he still allows the crowds to decide Jesus' fate. Because it was the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the governor would release one prisoner. The prisoner that Pilate selects is called Jesus Barabbas.
