US Mid-session 21 Feb 18: US weaker after holiday, BHP strong half year but share price 4%

US under pressure at the US dollar rises, gold off over US$20 an ounce and mining stocks lower. BHP down over 4% in London and US trade after half year profit missed the market even with a 38% lift in its half year dividend for shareholders to US$0.55. Walmart down near 10% on weaker margins over the key holiday sales period.
