The Dishing with Patricia Video Podcast Announces A Focus on Mental Health

 
Hi, I’m Patricia Marshall Harris, the host of Dishing with Patricia! May is designated as Mental Health Awareness Month, I’ve decided to focus on this growing crisis called MENTAL HEALTH with a month-long series. 
 
We’re going to have various mental health professionals as my featured guests, "to dish," on the seriousness of mental health.
 
On Monday May 1st, my guest will be, Dr. Richard Snyder, the Executive Vice President of Facilitated Health Networks, at Independence Blue Cross. Dr. Snyder says someone who's hurting may not be visible to their friends or family as hurting, and therefore, they may not get help in the same way, or at the same speed, as someone who is hurting physically.
 
He will address how individuals with health insurance, can utilize their available, benefits.
 
Mental illnesses are common in the United States. It is estimated that more than one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (57.8 million in 2021). Mental illnesses include many different conditions that vary in degree of severity, ranging from mild to moderate to severe.
