Mid-Session 17 Mar 16: Positive US Fed news & local jobs data boosts sentiment

The ASX 200 is up 1.2% at mid-session, boosted by strong gains in the energy, materials and financial sectors. Better than expected jobs data and news the US Fed is expected to raise rates twice this year instead of four times has also helped sentiment.
