Holistic Healing and the Transformative Powers of Cannabis

Julie Ann Mejia visited over 100 dispensaries across the country on her journey to heal herself with medical marijuana. Julie Ann Mejia’s personal cannabis story began as so many do, with the inability of traditional medical institutions to heal her pain. At the age of 27 she was seriously injured in a work situation which resulted in years of medications and the development of an autoimmune disorder. Julie’s first experience with cannabis as medicine was on a trip to Colorado with her brother and mom where her relief was almost immediate. Then in 2015 she became one of the first patients in Massachusetts to receive her medical marijuana card. Once her own body began to heal she set out on a mission to help others, and in 2017 headed out to Oregon to learn everything she could about the cannabis industry from cultivation to production.
