  Often times when we pray for someone, we want to discuss hat they are doing with God. He knows so we don't need to gossip. Prayer begins with the truth. This person is in Christ, he bears the mark of the finished work, he is the focus of the Holy Spirit's activity. They need to see that and the mess will fall away.
